Welborn Beeson papers, 1848-1893.

Collection consists of diaries and account books, including a narrative of Beeson's overland journey in 1853 and account of game killed by Beeson 1848-1856. Also includes transcriptions of several of the diaries and an 1859-1860 diary of Charles J. Cummings.

Welborn Beeson was born in Illinois in 1836 and came overland to Oregon with his parents in 1853. The family settled in Jackson County, Oregon.
